To the Vet Again, caring for the invalid

Alice wasn't better, so Friday it was off to Dr. Singh in Nonantum. He gives her a shot of cat pennicillin, and prescribes it in pill form along with an appetite stimulant and continuing eye dropper hydration. If this doesn't work the next step is blood work and Xrays and all the heroic measures I'm not comfortable about providing for cats in a world where children lack food and basic care. But she's family, dammit! Our darling, who trusts us to care for her. The good news is that other than whatever it is that has made her so ill, Alice is in great shape for an 8 year old cat. Better news is that by Saturday she is perking up, Sunday she begins to eat and drink on her own! We're doing a little joy dance.....
